OK- this is almost comical - if it wasn't our lives on hold and a little baby waiting.
Lisa has made contact with the other agency- and the social worker and another family were at the hospital on Friday waiting to be part of the delivery. They waited in the waiting room for hours and when the social worker got frustrated and approached the counter saying that they needed to go back for the c-section the hospital called the police on the social worker.
They took her license and did a background check. The Birth mother (formerly known as Erica) hasn't had any contact with this other social worker since Saturday. So we have confirmed that there is another family waiting and ready to take this child.
What are the chances that we both hired the same attorney for this women?
We have no idea what her real name is or if any of the information that we've been given is correct. Maybe the grandest April Fools joke in history- we're not laughing and we're ready to get off this broken roller coaster.

ReplyDeleteI'm confused about how you discovered the second agency. Any light to shed on that? Did the lawyer go meet with her or something? Has there been any more contact with her about this new development? Has anyone confirmed that she actually has a baby to give up?
