So a few days after my last post, we got a call from my friend who had again talked with grandpa. Apparently he thought he had custody of this little boy, but he only really has guardianship. He contacted his lawyer who told him that he didn't legally have the right to put the boy up for adoption. Grandpa could apply for custody and then adopt him out at a future date. For now he would likely have to go through the foster care program. So we would not be able to adopt him at this time.
Again-just keep having faith that the Lord is in charge.
